Le Compas was designed by Rolf Engelen owner of LaFacette Design studio. Rolf started his career in the family business as a jewel designer and followed his passion about 2 years ago by studying to become an interior designer. He graduated this summer in Eindhoven (NL). One of his projects was to design a piece of furniture for himself which had to be used to demonstrate his skills as a designer at a big public place or event. It needs to say something about Rolf himself as a designer and convey his tastes for interior architecture.

´I think people can immediately see where my inspiration came from´, says Rolf. His challenge was to convey his love for refinement, combined with a cool look, all to ideal proportions. He chose aluminium for  the whole framework, with a tabletop of hardened etched float glass.

“when I saw the table completed for the first time,  I felt emotional, it became a part of myself, how more beautiful could a design be, this time all my work” says Rolf proudly . Le Compas was showed at “the Floor is Yours” at the Biennale Interior 2018, Kortrijk (BE).
